Mrs. Chanda Raisinghani is an educationist of great repute. She has acquired a name for herself in the field of early childhood education. She has been working relentlessly in this field for the last thirty years. During this period she has taught children of all levels and has conducted several trainings for teachers and workshops for parents in India as well as abroad. She is the appointed managing member of the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE), Government of India. She also has a flare for art and creativity. She believes in giving back to the society and is keenly involved in several social initiatives too.

Apart from her bachelor’s degree in Education, she is an internationally trained Montessorian too. She obtained her Primary Montessori training from the London Montessori Centre and her Elementary Montessori training from the North American Montessori Society.

A firm believer of the fact that the early years of a child’s life are truly formative, she began her career as a Nursery teacher in Kolkata in 1974, she later also taught the senior classes, but her heart was with the little ones because she truly believes that the early years for a child’s life are truly formative and they need to be in the best care during these years.

She eventually joined the Indian Montessori Center in Kolkata as a faculty and subsequently became the Vice-Principal. She moved to Delhi in 1998 and started a teacher training course with the American Montessori School in Gurugram and later started a Teacher Training centre at Magic years, Vasant Vihar.

In 2003, she met Shefali Varma during one of her training sessions. Shefali was on a search for a child centric system of education for her son. Having attended, Ms. Raisinghani’s session on Montessori education, she realised that she had found what she was looking for. The first Ardee school was born in golf links as the ‘Ardee Montessori House of Children’. This is now well known as ‘THE ARDEE SCHOOL’.

Ms. Chanda Raisinghani is the President Early Education & Training, for all the Ardee Schools and is the founder Principal of ‘the ardee school’, Delhi. Under her leadership, the school has been adjudged as the best Montessori school in India by Education World for two consecutive years. She also heads the ‘Teacher Training Centre’ for aspiring teachers willing to learn about the Montesseri system of system of education and make a career in it. It is affiliated to the ‘Indian Montessori Centre’, Kolkata. So far more than a 1000 teachers have been trained and have been placed in some of the top Indian and international schools.

Mrs. Raisinghani has visited several International Montessori schools in Rome, Singapore, Bangkok and Bratislava. She brings all this experience and learning into the Ardee schools in India. She is regularly invited to conduct workshops for teachers and parents in various countries. Her recent workshops have been in Singapore, Philippines and Slovakia.

Having a heart of gold, Ms. Raisinghani spends a major part of her time in working towards giving back to the society. She had also been involved in several community social services since her days in Kolkata. Her belief in the Montessori system is so strong that she spreads it with ease even to the underprivileged section of the society and reaches out to children of ‘Manzil’, an NGO. She runs a Saturday school where she brings together children of Manzil, the Ardee School and trainees from the Teacher Training Centre. She is a member of the’ All Indian Women’s Education Fund Association’ at lady Irwin College, Delhi. One of her successful projects was the ‘Legal Awareness’ project conducted in Farooqnagar and Nooh districts of Gurugram, funded by Ford Foundation for Women.
