Spring Adventure camp - Dharamshala, Mcleod Ganj & Kangra
Visit to Tsulakhang Buddhist temple. Students were able to to listen to a Monk give a peace talk
Students toured and began a workshop at Norbulingka Tibetan Heritage Institute
Students went to the Tibetan Village for Children Refugees. The tour included a visit to a preprimary Montessori classroom. Then we went on an a Eco Nature walk
Students got their hands "dirty" picking up trash along the trail
After the 2.5 kilometer walk the students had a surprise treat. They learned how to make momos Tibetan style and enjoyed learning how to make the momos from scratch.
Kangra fort in which the students visited Thursday afternoon. Students learned about the 7 Kingdoms in which the fort was transformed and used as a defense against enemies. Krangra fort is one of the oldest forts in India.
The students in first three pics visited Clean Upper Dharmasala Green Shop, where students learned how to turn waste into paper, then use it to make notebooks.
Students enjoyed learning how to make the outside covers, and sewing the binding throughout the process.
